Terms of service.

The rules that apply when you use this site or buy from us. Written in plain English. Read before you order.

1. About us

This site (the “Site”) and shop (the “Shop”) are operated by HB Distributors (“we”, “us”, “our”), an independent distributor trading as Mama's Flat Stomach Tea and HB Distributors. 2. Accepting these terms

By using this Site or placing an order, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy and refund policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

You must be at least 18 years old to order. We don't sell to anyone we have reason to believe is under 18.

3. Pricing

All prices are in South African Rand (ZAR) and include any applicable VAT. Prices may change without notice; the price you pay is the price shown at the moment you complete checkout.

Pricing errors do occur from time to time. If we discover a clear pricing error after you've ordered, we'll contact you to confirm whether you want to proceed at the corrected price or cancel and be fully refunded.

4. Orders

Submitting an order is an offer to buy. We accept your offer when payment is confirmed by Payfast and you receive a confirmation email from us. Until then, the order is in a pending state and may be cancelled by either side.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, including (but not limited to) cases of suspected fraud, inventory errors, or pricing errors. If we cancel a paid order we'll refund you in full.

5. Payment

Payment is processed by Payfast, an independent third-party payment gateway. We never see or store your card details. Their terms and privacy policy apply during the payment step.

6. Delivery

We deliver via Pargo Pickup Points across South Africa. You choose your preferred Pickup Point at checkout, Pargo notifies you when your parcel is ready, and you collect at your convenience.

Risk of loss or damage passes to you when the parcel is successfully collected from the Pickup Point. If your parcel is lost or damaged before collection, we cover it.

Typical delivery time is 3–7 working days from payment confirmation, though this depends on the courier's route and your location. We'll send tracking information by email when your order ships.

7. Returns and refunds

Our refund policy is at /refund-policy and forms part of these terms. In summary: merch is refundable, wellness consumables and event tickets are not, and partial refunds are supported for mixed orders.

8. Event tickets

Tickets for events are issued in your name with a unique QR code. You may not resell tickets above face value. Refunds are not offered on issued tickets — if you can't attend, the ticket simply isn't used. If we have to cancel or postpone an event, we'll offer affected ticket-holders a full refund or a transfer to the rescheduled date.

9. Wellness products — not medical advice

Our teas, capsules, supplements, kits, and functional foods are sold as wellness products, not as medicines. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Statements about benefits on this Site have not been evaluated by SAHPRA.

Always consult a registered healthcare practitioner before using our products if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, on medication, have a chronic medical condition, or are under 18.

Individual results vary. Nothing on this Site is a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

10. Distributor referrals

If you arrived via a distributor's referral link (e.g. /d/[code]), the distributor may receive credit for your order. This doesn't change the price you pay and doesn't affect our relationship with you as the customer.

11. Site content & intellectual property

The Site content (text, images, logos, product photography) is our property or licensed to us. You may not copy, reproduce, or use it commercially without permission. You may screenshot or share individual product pages on social media — that's welcome.

12. Liability

We're liable to you only to the extent required by South African law, particularly the Consumer Protection Act. We're not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages (e.g. loss of profits, business opportunity, time, or data) arising from your use of the Site or our products.

Our total liability for any single order is capped at the amount you paid for that order.

Nothing in these terms limits any of your statutory rights as a consumer under South African law.

13. Force majeure

We're not liable for delays or failures in delivery caused by events outside our reasonable control — including but not limited to load-shedding, courier outages, postal strikes, civil unrest, pandemics, or acts of nature.

14. Disputes

We'd rather sort things out by chatting first. Please contact us via WhatsApp (078 609 0960) or email (support@hbdistributors.co.za) and give us a chance to make it right.

If we can't resolve a dispute informally, you may refer it to the National Consumer Commission, the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud, or another competent consumer-protection body in South Africa.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes that proceed to litigation will be heard in a competent South African court.

16. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be flagged at checkout. Orders are governed by the terms in force on the date you place them.
